About Lightning Bug Media
Our Story
Lightning Bug Media is a family-owned production company dedicated to bringing your visual goals to life. We offer a broad spectrum of filming or photography packages tailored to meet the needs of small businesses, branded content, e-commerce products, social media content, commercial aerial filming, and mini-documentaries just to name a few.
Headed by John MacDonnell and Joanna Whitmarsh MacDonnell, they each worked for over 15 years in the entertainment industry on reality TV shows, documentaries, commercials, game shows, and user-generated content-based projects before branching out to start Lightning Bug Media Co, in 2020. We love to help others hone in on the best message possible - showcasing the heart of their company, and their people, in motion or still imagery.
