Our Story
Lightning Bug Media is a small, family-owned production company dedicated to bringing your visual stories to life. We offer a broad spectrum of filming services tailored to meet the needs of small businesses, nonprofits, social media content, real estate filming, commercial aerial filming, and mini-documentaries just to name a few. We love to help others hone in on the best message possible - showcasing the heart of their company, and their people, on film.
Headed by John MacDonnell and Joanna Whitmarsh MacDonnell, they have a combined experience of thirty years in the entertainment industry working on a wide variety of projects for reality TV shows, documentaries, commercials, game shows, and user-generated content-based projects before branching out to start their own company in 2020.
